  • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes, and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Experience interpreting payer contracts and processing adjustments.
  • Proficiency in Excel and working with spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned accounts from billing through final resolution or agency referral.

  • Review accounts for outstanding balances, credits, and discrepancies.
  • Process contractual adjustments and write-offs in accordance with guidelines.
  • Submit claims documentation including appeals, rebills, EOBs, and medical records.

  • Interpret payer contracts, LOAs, and billing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and account notes.
  • Identify and escalate denial trends, billing issues, and workflow gaps.
  • Participate in payer calls, team meetings, and process improvement efforts.

Job description

Pay or shift range: $25 USD to $32.08 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job‑related reasons.

At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our revenue cycle team plays a critical role in keeping operations running. We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Collector to manage patient accounts from billing through resolution while ensuring timely follow‑up, accurate reimbursement, and strong payer relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage assigned accounts from billing through final resolution or agency referral

What You Bring

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days
