Job summary

Park Nicollet is seeking a Coding Education and Quality Specialist to partner system-wide with clinicians and clinic operations staff, supporting the HealthPartners Revenue Cycle and closing documentation gaps.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and payor policy guidelines, plus EHR proficiency. You will analyze data, improve coding quality, and provide education for onboarding clinicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Coding education program or associate/bachelor in health information.
• RHIT/RHIA or coding certificate required.
• Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 CM coding guidelines and payor policies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel and pivot tables for reporting.
• Ability to analyze data and identify revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure services are documented and billed accurately in the medical record.
• Conduct chart reviews and provide feedback on coding trends.
• Review practices and prepare summaries of revenue opportunities.
• Deep EMR understanding of templates, order entry, and charge capture.
• Provide education to coders and clinicians; onboard new clinicians.
• Attend meetings and participate in coding policy updates.
