Qualifications

• Education and Work Experience: Preferred
• Charge entry billing experience in a healthcare setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with departments to code billable items for reimbursement.
• Works with appropriate staff to obtain required information for billable items.
• Balances charge summaries to encounter forms before updating charges.
• Keeps the supervisor informed of issues related to charge entry activities.
• Reviews reports and software edits to identify required revisions and coordinates with appropriate departments.
• Coordinates projects and audits to improve revenue cycle processes, charging and billing efficiency, and collection efforts.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education

High School Education/GED or equivalent

Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination
