Responsibilities:
• Provides monthly reporting packages that consist of assigned revenue cycle metrics and key performance indicators.
• Outlines denial analytics that will be shared routinely with UAMS Service Line Administration.
• Provides monthly reports to key stakeholders across the organization.
• Identifies process breakdowns within access and revenue cycle as well as assist in the identification of possible workflows that may be impacting access and revenue cycle performance.
• Elevates issues to Service Line Administrators and IRC as appropriate.
• Performs periodic quality assurance checks to ensure that workflows and systems are operating as expected.
• Assesses impact (coding, compliance, reimbursement) of new payer regulations or policy updates on revenue cycle operations and communicates as appropriate.
• Notifies billing management of any potential audit and compliance risks.
• Provides articles as requested for IRC newsletters, message boards, etc.
• Understands the implication of each element in the revenue cycle reporting and able to communicate this information to the service lines.
• Defines action plans for measure not meeting goals and escalates issues within established parameters to ensure that all parties are held accountable for completing the plans.
• Identifies potential impact of the implementation of new clinical service activity on IRC operations and reporting.
• Participates in quarterly meetings with UAMS Department Administrators and Integrated Revenue Cycle leadership.
• Participates in committees and carries out special projects or detailed account research as needed or requested by leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.
