Mercy is seeking a business systems analyst to support Scheduling, ADT, HIM, Hospital Billing, and Professional Billing systems. You will analyze business requirements, map data flows, and configure modules to meet healthcare workflows.
Responsibilities include developing functional specifications, data mapping, and setting up transaction and control tables, while ensuring alignment with SDLC and security standards. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Primary Function For Scheduling, ADT, HIM, Hospital Billing, Professional Billing System Role Formulates and defines business scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of business and industry requirements Performs functional analysis, requirements, definition and application module configuration and testing Responsible for conducting prototypes, developing functional specifications, data mapping, function mapping, setting of configuration tables and setting of transaction/control tables Has a thorough understanding of the business processes and flows to enable the analysis of business requirements and the development of solutions for the business functions Responsible for the identification of and resolution of gaps in the business processes. Involved in security/authorization set-up, user documentation, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation May be involved in the installation and tuning of modification, as well as archiving data. Generally this position has light programming skills in the appropriate language to develop necessary workarounds Provides support to end-users for application configuration and/or in house developed applications. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: One (1) - Two (2) years of relevant technical or business work experience.
Other Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Knowledge of requirements management, diagramming, use case development. Experience in process design, reengineering, and requirements documentation methodologies. Advanced computer skills and general understanding of Software Development Life Cycle. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience in business writing.

Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help. A few years later, Catherine founded the Sisters of Mercy, one of the first religious orders whose Sisters were free to walk among the poor and visit them in their homes. In 1843, the Sisters of Mercy came to the United States. In 1856, they traveled to St. Louis. In the years to come, they would establish hospitals throughout the Midwest. Many of these would join together in 1986 as Mercy.
