Job summary

Qualifications

• Must work weekends, nights and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass basic math and accounting exams.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries.
• Responsible for data entry on statistical reports used by management.
• Identify variations and deviations; aid in investigations and report findings to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a tracking system for outstanding slips, coupons, etc. for accountability.
• Assist the finance department with revenue analysis.
• Adhere to confidentiality requirements of the Finance Division.
• Follow all rules, regulations, procedures and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and Finance Department.
• Comply with the Casino’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Daily, review documents prepared by casino departments to substantiate and verify transactions and reports, reconcile accounts, verify cash onhandand bank deposits.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries.
• Responsible for data entry on a variety of statistical reports to be used by management.
• Identifyvariations, fluctuations, or deviations, aid in the investigation of these items and report findings to theappropriate personnel
• Maintain a tracking system for outstanding slips, coupons, etc. for proper accountability.
• Aid the finance department with revenue analysis.
• Strictlyadhereto the confidentiality requirements of the Finance Division.
• Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Finance Department.
• Must adhere to the Casino’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during employment.
• Mustmaintaincompliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws, and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: EmploymentManual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Tribal Internal Controls, Departmental Procedures, memos, or other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Two years’ experience in accounting isrequired.

• Must have excellent computer skills, including Excel,Wordand Microsoft Office.
• A workingknowledge of accounting software isrequired.
• Strong accounting and report writing skills arerequired.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is essential.

Work Conditions

• Constant hand movements (repetitive motions: grasping, holding, use of finger dexterity). Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects,toolsorcontrols;and reach with hands and arms.
• Constant walking and standing which may include kneeling, crouching,reachingand bending.
• Occasional pushing/pulling,liftingand/or moving up to sixty (60) pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depthperceptionand the ability to adjust and focus.
• Work isgenerally performedin a casino setting with a higher noise level and where cigarette smoke is prevalent.
• Workenvironment is smoke-free, but noise and dust levels depend uponarea.
