Job summary

North Star Mohican Casino Resort is seeking a Revenue Auditor for the Gaming Division. The role reviews and verifies daily casino department documents, reconciles accounts, and supports financial reporting and GL entries.

You will analyze revenue data, maintain controls, and ensure confidentiality in a fast-paced casino environment. The successful candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of accounting experience (audit experience preferred).

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Must obtain and maintain Mohican Nation Gaming License.
Must submit to a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB).
Must maintain acceptable departmental attendance record.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and health screening.
Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Two years’ accounting experience required.
Audit experience preferred.
Must pass basic math and accounting exams and accounting principles test.
Must have excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word and Microsoft Office.
A working knowledge of accounting software is required.
Strong accounting and report writing skills are required.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

Daily, review documents prepared by casino departments to substantiate and verify transactions and reports, reconcile accounts, verify cash onhand and bank deposits.
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries.
Responsible for data entry on a variety of statistical reports to be used by management.
Identify variations, fluctuations, or deviations, aid in the investigation of these items and report findings to the appropriate personnel
Maintain a tracking system for outstanding slips, coupons, etc. for proper accountability.
Aid the finance department with revenue analysis.
Strictly adhere to the confidentiality requirements of the Finance Division.
Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Finance Department.
Must adhere to the Casino’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during employment.
Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws, and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Tribal Internal Controls, Departmental Procedures, memos, or other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.
