Job summary

NRG Energy in Houston, TX is seeking a Revenue Assurance Manager to develop and govern the Revenue Assurance framework across Retail Operations, driving leakage prevention, KPI governance, and executive reporting.

You will lead monthly reviews, maintain controls inventory, and identify automation opportunities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen the company’s revenue integrity and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years retail energy experience.
• 5+ years operations, credit, collections, billing, finance, audit, or revenue assurance experience.
• 3+ years leadership, project, or governance experience.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.

Job Summary:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the Revenue Assurance framework.
• Establish governance standards and accountability models.
• Develop executive dashboards, scorecards and KPI reporting.
• Lead monthly Revenue Assurance reviews and certifications.
• Maintain inventory of controls, process owners and escalation procedures.
• Drive root-cause analysis and remediation of leakage events.
• Identify automation and process improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate governance forums and executive reporting.
• Understand and improve processes for multiple different areas within the retail operations space.

Working Conditions:

• Hybrid 2-4 days in office
• Minimal travel.
• Standard Monday-Friday schedule. Availability outside normal business hours as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years retail energy experience.
• 5+ years operations, credit, collections, billing, finance, audit, or revenue assurance experience.
• 3+ years leadership, project, or governance experience.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.

• Strong understanding of controls and governance.
• Ability to influence without authority.
• Executive communication and presentation skills.
• Experience building KPI frameworks and dashboards.
