Job summary

The University of South Carolina is seeking a Receivables and Revenue Operations Manager within SAAS Finance in Columbia, SC. This role leads the accounts receivable and medical/insurance billing operations for student services, ensuring compliant revenue cycles and strong internal controls.

You will provide leadership and development for AR staff, drive process improvements, and oversee EHR/billing configurations to optimize revenue outcomes across divisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable and revenue cycle management.
• Working knowledge of healthcare billing practices, insurance processes, and applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, FERPA).
• Prior experience in insurance claims, processing and medical coding (CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end medical billing lifecycle (charge capture, claim submission, payment posting, denial management).
• Manage accounts receivable lifecycle including collections and reconciliations.
• Lead process improvements and standardize best practices across units.
• Oversee billing configurations within the EHR (PnC) and claims clearinghouse (Waystar).
