Location

The hotel is situated on Manhattan’s Upper East Side at 410 East 92nd Street, near Central Park, the Met, the Guggenheim, and Yankee Stadium. It features 226 guestrooms, including 16 suites, with recent renovations to guestrooms and lobby.

Position Overview: Revenue Manager

The Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue opportunities through channel and yield management, formulating and executing revenue strategies, and analyzing revenue potential across market segments, including transient, group, catering, and additional revenue streams like golf and spa.

Responsibilities
  1. Establish hotel pricing levels across segments.
  2. Manage daily room inventory and pricing processes.
  3. Monitor competitor rates and market dynamics; develop action plans accordingly.
  4. Communicate occupancy fluctuations to operational teams for staffing and efficiency adjustments.
  5. Analyze local events and economic variables affecting demand and forecast revenue accordingly.
  6. Perform demand analysis to optimize business mix.
  7. Develop and oversee short and long-term revenue forecasts.
  8. Evaluate opportunities for contracted business and ensure responsive, profit-maximizing processes.
  9. Maintain and update revenue management software systems.
  10. Monitor RevPAR index and analyze performance regularly.
  11. Prepare annual revenue budgets.
  12. Lead weekly revenue strategy meetings and present quarterly reports to ownership.
  13. Ensure accurate content and pricing across distribution channels.
  14. Develop relationships with third-party intermediaries and industry peers.
  15. Coordinate marketing and service surveys to enhance revenue.
  16. Mentor and develop subordinates in revenue management and leadership skills.
  17. Manage internet marketing campaigns.
  18. Set and communicate sales strategies and update relevant calendars.
  19. Review nightly sales performance and address overselling or booking issues.
  20. Manage group cut-off dates and monitor booking trends.
  21. Complete monthly reports and analyze performance for strategic adjustments.
  22. Review market intelligence reports for trends and opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Revenue Management or as a senior analyst.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Deep knowledge of industry reports (STR, Hotelligence, Market Vision, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Flexible with work hours, including some long hours.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle confidential information.
  • Participation in hotel meetings, trainings, and coverage as required.
