Job summary

FinTech / AI / SaaS in New York City is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to lead revenue recognition, reporting, and compliance for a fast-growing enterprise. The role collaborates with sales, operations, and finance to ensure accurate revenue recognition and scalable processes.

The candidate must be a CPA with a Big 4 background and 6+ years of experience in revenue accounting. Onsite 5 days per week in NYC, with equity opportunities in a high-growth tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license is required.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with revenue focus.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles.
• Experience reviewing complex customer contracts and ARR analyses.

Responsibilities

• Review customer agreements and evaluate accounting treatment for revenue-related transactions.
• Lead monthly revenue accounting activities including reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain schedules for deferred revenue and contract assets/liabilities.
• Coordinate with billing, invoicing, and revenue processes across teams.
• Support audits and provide technical accounting documentation.
• Assist with system enhancements and process improvements.
