Job summary

Lead accounting for global payments and disbursements while partnering across FinTech, Strategic Finance, and Payment Operations to improve processes with automation and AI. The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, analytical mindset, and ability to work with complex datasets.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Analytical mindset with ability to handle complex datasets and investigate issues.
• Effective cross-functional partner with good communication skills.
• Experience with Excel or Google Sheets and large financial datasets.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close: journal entries, accruals, flux analysis, reconciliations and reporting.
• Own accounting processes for global payments and disbursements ecosystem.
• Identify opportunities to automate close processes using AI and automation.
• Partner with FinTech, Strategic Finance, and Payment Operations on automation and process improvements.
• Support product launches by analyzing transaction flows and establishing scalable accounting processes.
• Review proposals/contracts for accounting impacts and provide guidance to partners.
• Maintain internal controls per SOX requirements.
• Analyze complex datasets, investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and drive resolution.
• Support external/audits and ad-hoc analyses.
