Job summary

Samsara’s Revenue Accounting team owns how revenue is recognized, reported, and controlled for the Connected Operations Platform. As Revenue Accounting Manager, you will lead contract reviews turning non-standard agreements into defensible ASC 606 conclusions, ensuring accuracy, automation, and audit-readiness.

You will report to the Director of Revenue Accounting, partnering daily with Deal Desk, Legal, Sales, Revenue Operations, and external auditors.

Qualifications

6+ years of progressive accounting experience with ASC 606 at a public tech company or in public accounting.
Experience reviewing customer contracts and documenting technical revenue recognition positions.
Experience automating accounting processes and controls, including ERP or revenue subledger.
Experience owning SOX controls and supporting audits.
Experience leading, mentoring, or managing accountants.

Responsibilities

Lead the Contract Review process end-to-end, determine ASC 606 treatment, and document positions.
Drive automation and improvements to revenue systems, close activities, and controls.
Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk to structure deals before signing.
Support internal and external audits and maintain SOX compliance.
Own complex revenue issues requiring novel evaluation and judgment.
Build AI-enabled routines across revenue workstreams and ensure data privacy.
