Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation's Carolinas Accounting & Reporting team seeks a hands-on Revenue Accounting Lead responsible for revenue transactions, GAAP compliance, and reporting. The role requires independently developing complex SQL queries and/or Python code to analyze large datasets, reconciling source systems to the general ledger, and delivering executive-ready insights.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, MIS, or related field.
5+ years of accounting, financial reporting, or revenue analysis experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles with ability to research complex matters.
Experience writing and validating complex SQL queries and/or Python code.

Responsibilities

Lead accounting, analysis, and reporting of DEC and DEP revenue, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Analyze revenue transactions from SAP billing and other sources for accuracy and proper GL reflection.
Write and maintain complex SQL queries and/or Python code to analyze large datasets.
