Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 7+ years oil & gas experience required.
  • Experience with SAP/PRA and advanced Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the revenue accrual process and reporting.
  • Review team work and train teammates.
  • Calculate and record monthly revenue and expenses on assets.
  • Reconcile revenue general ledger accounts and propose adjustments.
  • Generate management reports as needed.
  • Respond to audit requests from internal/external auditors.
  • Communicate with internal and external contacts via phone or email.

As part of a dynamic accounting department, this position will be asked to handle a variety of responsibilities not limited to the ones listed below.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist in the revenue accrual process utilizing industry knowledge and best practices, performing trend analysis and creating internal reportingPerforms review of team’s work along with training and development of teammates by sharing technical knowledgeCalculates and records monthly revenue and expenses on operated and non-operated assetsReconciles and/or analyzes revenue general ledger accounts and proposes necessary adjusting entries, as required. Generate reports for management as neededReviews and organizes accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standardsAnalyze business transactions of moderate complexity and determine appropriate treatment through research or collaboration with subject matter expertsProvides research, analysis, information and explanation for audit requests from internal/external auditorsCommunicates frequently with internal and external contacts via phone or emailHandles other projects and responsibilities as assigned by managementEducation Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesBachelor’s degree or related field of study is required7+ years of oil and gas experienceSAP/PRA experience preferredStrong computer skills including ExcelExcellent analytical skills, organizational skills, and acute attention to detailSound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact with team members at all levels of the organizationCapacity to enhance processes to ensure functions are performed efficiently and effectivelyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility to grow and change with company needsKeen problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
