Dynatrace in Boston, MA is seeking a Revenue Accountant I to join our growing accounting team. This role focuses on revenue recognition, ASC 606 compliance, and close activities in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

You will collaborate with multiple teams (Sales, Order Management, Renewals) and leverage systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, and OneStream to ensure accurate reporting and robust internal controls, with a hybrid schedule of two days in the office.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional experience in revenue accounting, ideally with ASC 606.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA is preferred; strong MS Excel skills and ability to leverage financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly and quarterly revenue activities for close processes, including revenue recognition and reconciliations.
• Prepare quarterly and annual revenue assessments (standalone selling price, material rights, etc.).
• Assist in revenue disclosures and metrics for internal/external reporting.
• Assist with revenue automation projects and process improvements as the company scales.
• Support external auditors with quarterly revenue testing.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with global accounting teams on varied revenue streams and partner accruals.
• Coordinate with Order Management, Sales Operations and Renewals to ensure accurate reporting in Salesforce and booking in NetSuite.

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically strong Revenue Accountant I to join our growing accounting team in a revenue-focused role. The ideal candidate will bring a strong revenue accounting background and systems-oriented focus. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager and requires an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining rigorous financial controls and high-quality reporting.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform monthly and quarterly revenue activities in support of the financial close process, including recognizing revenue, fair value allocations and various account reconciliations
• Prepare various quarterly and annual revenue assessments including standalone selling price, material right considerations, and others
• Assist in the preparation of revenue related disclosures and metrics for internal and external reporting
• Assist with revenue automation projects, process improvements, and AI efficiencies as we continue to scale the business
• Support external auditors with quarterly revenue testing
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations
• Collaborate with company’s global accounting teams to ensure appropriate accounting of various revenue streams and partner accruals
• Collaborate with Order Management, Sales Operations and Renewals team to ensure that transactions are properly reported in Salesforce and booked in NetSuite

This is a hybrid role out of our Boston, MA office (2 days per week).

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ year of professional experience, ideally with prior ASC 606 experience at a Software or SaaS based technology experience from public accounting or industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

Preferred Requirements

• CPA is preferred
• Self-starter with a high-affinity for identifying and solving problems
• A strong business acumen and problem solving ability
• Highly flexible in adapting to the needs of the team and organization
• Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with others
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office/Excel
• Ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment
• Must have exceptional organization and communication skills
• Experience with SalesForce, NetSuite, OneStream, and Monday is a plus

Compensation And Rewards

DOE, salary $70K - $87K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
