Job summary

A leading analytic software firm in the United States is seeking an Accounting professional to join the Revenue and Accounting team. This role includes owning the revenue month-end close process, performing audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on billing issues. Opportunity

As a member of our Revenue and Accounting team, you will have the opportunity to hone your accounting skillset with a proven leader in the analytic software industry. What You’ll Contribute

• Knowledge and experience in the application of ASC 606.
• Ability to review complex contracts and understand billing requirements.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and reprioritize to meet tight deadlines.
• Gatekeeper of own tasks and timely escalation.
• Ability to work independently and understand the importance of working with a team.
• Ability to collaborate with Sales/FP&A and various cross‑functional teams to resolve billing and revenue issues.
• Participate in External and Internal audits.
• Perform ad‑hoc projects as required.
• Review revenue and forecast variances and provide explanations for discrepancies.
• Own revenue month‑end close process for assigned products. Comfortable with the preparation of journal entries and the reconciliation of revenue, unbilled and deferred revenue, and accounts receivable.
• Flexible open mindset with the ability to adapt to changing procedures and follow them.

What We’re Seeking

• BA/BS in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in accounting or relevant field of study.
• Strong knowledge and experience in invoicing, billing, and/or accounts receivable functions.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, ability to analyze large sets of data (Pivots, VLOOKUP, Advanced formulas)
• Ability to effectively interact with internal employees and clients holding a wide range of positions e.g. clerks to middle/upper management.
• Strong sense of ownership, excellent analytic, problem solving, and investigative skills.
• Experience working with Oracle or other large‑scale enterprise resource planning systems.
• Intermediate experience within a corporate accounting environment, preferably in the software or manufacturing industry.
