Job summary

Curran Recruiting is partnering with a PE-backed SaaS company in the Dunwoody area seeking a Revenue Accountant to join a hybrid work environment.

In this role you will own revenue recognition under ASC 606, review contracts, manage deferred revenue and accruals, oversee commissions, and support audits. Candidates should have a bachelor's in accounting or finance and 3+ years accounting, including 2+ years revenue accounting.

Qualifications

• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition in a software business.
• Ability to review contracts and apply revenue guidance.
• Strong month-end close and variance analysis skills.

• Own SaaS revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance.
• Review contracts and determine appropriate revenue treatment.
• Manage deferred/unbilled revenue and revenue-related accruals.
• Oversee sales commissions, payouts, and deferred commission schedules.
• Account for capitalized software costs under ASC 350-40.
• Own revenue-related month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Support audits and improve revenue and commission processes.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of Accounting experience
• 2+ years of Revenue Accounting experience
• Well versed with ASC 606 and/or recurring revenue environment
