Job summary

CFS is seeking a Revenue Accountant in Atlanta, GA to support accurate revenue reporting, month-end close, and leadership-facing financial initiatives. The role emphasizes collaboration with sales, operations, and finance to ensure compliant revenue transactions.

The ideal candidate has GAAP expertise, 3+ years in revenue or general ledger accounting, and strong Excel/ERP skills, within a supportive, growth-oriented culture in a central Atlanta location.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification or CPA track preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on revenue accounting or general ledger accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
  • Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and support leadership initiatives as a Revenue Accountant.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Recognition: analyze contracts and transactions to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Month-End Close: support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, revenue reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Financial Reporting: prepare and maintain revenue-related schedules and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Account Reconciliations: perform detailed reconciliations of revenue accounts, deferred revenue, and related balance sheet accounts.
  • Internal Controls: assist with maintaining and improving controls surrounding revenue processes and financial reporting.
  • Audit Support: coordinate schedules and provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits related to revenue transactions.
  • Forecasting & Analysis: support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts by providing revenue-related insights and reporting.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with sales, operations, billing, and finance teams to ensure accurate revenue transactions and reporting.
