Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Returns Associate to accurately process driver-returned products and related documents, ensuring correct accounting codes and inventory integrity.

You will verify return reasons, ensure temperature compliance, process paperwork, and determine disposition of returns while collaborating with the Transportation and Warehouse teams.

This role involves end-of-day reporting, data entry, and maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with warehouse and delivery procedures preferred.
• Must communicate clearly in writing and verbally, with strong math and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Verify returned product for accurate reason codes to ensure accounting reports reflect accurate data.
• Verify returned product is within temperature guidelines to maintain product integrity
• Process all documents (paper and digital) associated with returns and adjustments to customer orders to ensure inventory accuracy and customer invoice accuracy
• Inspect all product returned for appropriate disposition and ensure proper coding is applied.
• Execute end of day processes and reports, ensuring all discrepancies are researched and addressed.
• Return saleable product to pick slot where allowed by local policies
• Work with drivers and transportation supervisors to address issues and address training/retraining needs and process improvement opportunities.
