Job summary

US Foods is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to maintain accurate inventory levels and product quality. The role involves clerical duties, records compilation, and contributing to an order and shipping index that meets customer expectations. Shifts run Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with pay ranging from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Essential duties include daily counts, transaction research, and documentation. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years experience in Inventory Control or clerical role in a distribution center.
• HACCP experience preferred.
• Computer literacy with MS Office and inventory database systems.
• Strong math, detail orientation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory counts and audits with detailed documentation.
• Research transactions and root causes to provide resolutions.
• Prepare, compile and retain reports and records in printed and electronic form.
• Identify inventory items and code dates; perform reclass/transfer tasks.
• Reconcile routes and invoices; process debit/credit adjustments with correct codes.
• Operate pallet jacks or stock picker and stand up to temperature-controlled environments.
• Adhere to safety, product handling, and food safety standards.
• Maintain accurate time and attendance records and calendar compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily inventory counts and audits and provide detailed documentation of results.
• Research transactions and exceptions to derive root cause and provide resolution.
• Request, prepare, compile and retain reports and records in printed and electronic form.
• Identify products in inventory database; Identify code dates on products.
• Perform full range of Inventory Reclass/Transfer functions.
• Evaluate, verify and process Driver returned products.
• Reconcile Routes, Invoices and other documents.
• Process debit and credit adjustments while utilizing accurate reason codes.
• Perform related clerical tasks and audits to support warehouse logistics.
• Move and stage pallet loads with material handling equipment.
• Adhere to Company standards for Safety, product handling and Food Safety.
• Keep timecard record to ensure accurate time and attendance reporting.
• Adhere to Division Attendance Policy.
• Work in multiple environments, including office as well as ambient, refrigerated and frozen storage areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education/Training : High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of three years job experience, Inventory Control or other Clerical in a Distribution Center setting.
• HACCP experience preferred
• Computer literacy - MS Office, electronic inventory database, Windows based applications.
• Able to communicate effectively, written and verbal; Possess strong math skills, excellent organizational practices with a high attention to detail.
• Able to resolve routine problems of typical scope; Analyze complex scenarios; Prioritize job tasks of varying frequency; Perform with limited Supervision.
• Possess and practice strong teamwork skills; Serve as resource to others and provide inter-department support.
• Ability to operate and become certified on Powered Industrial Trucks (Pallet Jack, Stock Picker, et al).
• Work Environment : Ability to work in environments between 0F and 34F degrees

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between: $16.34hr to $27.35/hr. This role will also receive overtime compensation.
