Job summary

The California Department of Industrial Relations is seeking an Analyst II to serve as Return to Work Coordinator in the Medical Management Unit, with backup for the Health and Wellness Coordinator. The incumbent will interpret and advise management on workers' compensation laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and MOU provisions; provide consultation to staff; liaise with SCIF adjusters, doctors and attorneys; and facilitate complex cases.

The limited term may become permanent.

Qualifications

• Experience or education with Workers' Compensation, Reasonable Accommodation and Return to Work.
• Experience interpreting laws, polices, procedures or regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and advise management on workers' compensation laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and MOUs.
• Provide consultation to staff and liaise with SCIF adjusters, doctors and attorneys.
• Coordinate complex litigated workers' compensation and reasonable accommodation cases.
• Assist in development and delivery of training related to workers' compensation and reasonable accommodation requests.
