As Retrofit Project Engineer, you will be working on the latest technology and supply solutions to industries shaping the future, for example, laser systems for battery production for electric vehicles. In this role you will have overall responsibility for executing customer projects and modifying layouts to meet new standards and specifications. Thus, you will contribute significantly to TRUMPF’s overall success as well as customer satisfaction.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTake over responsibility, process, and execute new customer orders from start to finishAddress customer inquiries appropriately, for example by consulting with a product manager having technical expertise or working with colleagues in GermanySupervise the overall project progress & milestones, take necessary measures to ensure successConduct kick-off and status update meetings if applicableCollaborate with multiple departments locally and overseas, pull in technical experts and commercial support when useful, e.g. our retrofit teams overseas or our local product managers and application engineersCommunicate with customers about execution status of project, e.g. regarding deliveryCalculate project profitability for customer ordersMaintain good overview of large number of simultaneous projects and keep management informedRoutine travel within North America to support customers will be required. Less than 10% anticipated.Must maintain Valid Driver’s LicenseOccasional overnights as neededExperience & EducationDegree in Engineering, Technical, or Business-related field.5+ years experience with project management in automotive or industrial manufacturing environment.
