Banner Life Insurance Company is hiring in Frederick, MD for a hybrid, full-time role within the Retirement division. You will handle client calls, assist with pension-related inquiries, and process beneficiary changes while coordinating with internal teams.

The position requires 2+ years in customer service/administrative work and familiarity with pensions and annuities, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service/administrative experience required.
• Call Center / Customer Service experience preferred.
• Understanding of pensions and annuities.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming client calls and assist with webpage navigation, providing outstanding service.
• Review and process incoming mail, search for missing annuitants as needed.
• Research benefit payment inquiries and set up direct deposits.
• Process death reports, address changes, stop and reissues of payments, and related updates.
• Coordinate with departments for next steps and provide year-end tax form information.
• Monitor mail and tasks daily and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
