Job summary

Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Co. in Jackson, Mississippi seeks a Retirement Service Specialist to support policyowners and agents, handling service requests for traditional life, annuity products, health and disability lines as needed.

You will determine the forms and computer transactions required, verify proper authorizations, respond to customers with excellent service, and back-stop all department roles as needed, while staying current on company policies and IRS rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with two years of customer service experience or five years in customer experience.
• In-depth knowledge of servicing SFB products and tax laws as they pertain to these products.
• Proficient Windows knowledge and ability to use policy administration systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries from agents and policy owners regarding policies and procedures.
• Determine forms, requirements, and computer transactions for service requests.
• Verify proper authorization for policy distributions and issue checks as needed.
• Correspond with customers to provide excellent service.
• Back-up for all department positions as required.
• Administer supplementary contracts, matured annuities, and in-force annuities.
• Process supplementary contracts and stay current on IRS rules.
