Job summary

The Retirement Services Assistant (Operations & Policy Analyst 1) role is within the Centralized PERS unit of the Department of Administrative Services. You will resolve retirement account discrepancies for over 55,000 current employees, terminated employees and retirees, and support statewide pension plan administration.

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, with a hybrid work arrangement in Salem, Oregon, and a willingness to relocate or commute.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills.
• Three years of technical-level experience or education equivalent to the knowledge and skills required for the classification.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between state agencies, PERS staff and employees to resolve retirement account discrepancies.
• Research employee records to determine corrective actions so suspended records post and accounts are accurate.
• Provide guidance and support in the administration of the statewide PERS pension plan and related projects.
