Marquee Staffing is seeking a temporary accounting professional to support retirement reporting, reconciliation, and auditing for CalSTRS and CalPERS in Costa Mesa, CA. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Professional experience in accounting, financial analysis, payroll accounting, auditing or related
• Knowledge of GAAP, general ledger, fund transfers, deposits, abatements, remittance processes
• Recordkeeping and audit documentation practices

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly retirement reporting data for CalSTRS and CalPERS
• Perform detailed reconciliations of employer and employee retirement contributions
• Audit, balance, and validate retirement reports against payroll and general ledger
• Identify discrepancies and resolve retirement contribution issues
• Assist with retirement payments, fund transfers, and remittance deadlines
• Maintain documentation and improve reporting processes
• Support database maintenance and data validation for retirement records
• Develop automated spreadsheets or tools to streamline reconciliations
