Midwest Capital Advisors, LLC in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a proactive Retirement Plan Associate to support our defined contribution practice. You will help manage 401(k) and 403(b) offerings, communicate with clients, and work with licensed professionals to build retirement plan knowledge and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field is required.
• At least 1 year of relevant investment/advisory experience, preferably with 401(k)/403(b) plans.
• Registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in Michigan or able to become registered within six months.
• Ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to requests.
• Quick learner of new technologies, AI tools, software platforms, and digital workflows.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate plan-level and participant-level service offerings with advisers.
• Act as liaison between retirement plan clients and recordkeeper/TPA/benefit counsel.
• Handle inbound participant inquiries, enrollments, and transfers.
• Maintain retirement plan client files and CRM records.
• Attend sales presentations for new prospects and committee meetings for existing clients.
• Attend enrollment meetings and, in time, present at them.
• Stay current on qualified plan market, products, compliance, and technology.
