Job summary

Midwest Capital Advisors, based in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a proactive Retirement Plan Associate to support our defined contribution retirement plan practice. You will help manage customized 401(k) and 403(b) offerings, communicating directly with clients and meeting with advisors.

We will train, mentor, and coach you as you build retirement plan knowledge and career prospects. Growth into a lead advisory role is possible; no initial sales required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field.
• At least one year of relevant investment and financial advisory experience, preferably involving 401(k) and/or 403(b) plans.
• Registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in Michigan or able to become registered within six months.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex financial topics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate plan-level and participant-level service offerings with advisers.
• Act as liaison between retirement plan clients and recordkeeper/TPA/benefit counsel.
• Handle inbound participant inquiries, enrollments, and transfers.
• Maintain retirement plan client files and CRM records.
• Attend sales presentations for new retirement plan prospects and meetings for existing clients.
• Attend and present at retirement plan enrollment meetings.
• Stay current on qualified plan market, products, and compliance.
