Job summary

Paychex is seeking a Senior Retirement Plan Sales Representative to drive new business by presenting retirement plan products to key decision makers and referral sources. You will manage appointments, analyze client needs, and leverage Salesforce to maintain seamless service while traveling as needed.

The role emphasizes building relationships, continuing sales training, and growing technical and competitive knowledge to close deals and advance in the sales organization.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma required.
• Less than 1 year of Paychex-related experience and completion of required training programs and/or certification by senior sales management.
• 2 years of experience in relevant sales or sales management.

Responsibilities

• Presents retirement plan and flexible spending account products and services of Paychex to final decision makers and end users within the prospect universe to close new sales.
• Schedules appointments with potential and current referral sources to secure referrals to end users.
• Prospects using phone, direct mail, seminars, current client visits, or other local marketing programs directed by Sales management.
• Analyzes prospects’ needs and determines which products are appropriate.
• Expedites resolution of client problems or complaints to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Completes and submits new business paperwork and expense reports by dates set by Sales management; enters prospects, sales and client notes into Salesforce.com.
• Projects a positive image representing the Corporation to clients and the community.
• Develops technical, competitive and sales skills; completes SAFE examinations and participates in training to become a Senior Retirement Plan Sales Representative.
• May travel outside territory for conferences, training sessions or meetings.
