What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  1. Conduct data analysis and research on defined contribution retirement plans to ensure legal compliance
  2. Communicate with account management to identify and resolve compliance issues and provide potential solutions
  3. Serve as a subject matter expert on retirement plan administration and lead training events
  4. Prepare annual government filings and perform non-discrimination testing for plans
  5. Review and analyze plan documents for accuracy and compliance with regulations

What is Required (Qualifications):

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in defined contribution plan administration
  2. Hands-on experience with compliance and non-discrimination testing of retirement plans
  3. Proficiency in Form 5500 preparation
  4. Deep knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA)
  5. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

  1. Pursuit of American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) classes related to the Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) designation or higher
  2. Experience in customer contact and handling complex compliance questions
