What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research and perform data analysis on defined contribution retirement plans to ensure legal compliance
- Communicate effectively with account management to identify changes affecting plan testing and provide potential solutions
- Analyze and resolve complex testing and compliance questions, providing expert advice to management
- Serve as a subject matter expert in retirement plan administration and lead training events
- Review and provide feedback on work completed by co-workers to ensure accurate plan administration
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in defined contribution plan administration, including compliance testing
- Experience with Form 5500 preparation
- In-depth knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Pursuit of American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) classes related to the Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) designation or higher
