Job summary

Afognak Native Corporation seeks a Retirement Benefits Analyst to manage and administer the company’s 401(k) plans, union 401(k) plans and nonqualified deferred compensation plans in compliance with plan documents, regulations, and contracts.

You will partner with HRIS and vendors to ensure accurate data, run compliance testing, prepare government filings, educate participants on notices, and support implementation of new plans and changes.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of retirement plan administration experience.
• Superior knowledge of ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), top heavy and 401(a)(4) nondiscrimination testing; IRS and DOL correction programs.
• Advanced knowledge of ERISA as it pertains to defined contribution plans.
• ASPPA Qualified 401k Administrator or equivalent certification.
• Intermediate/advanced math and accounting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Serve as expert resource regarding retirement plan operations, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Advise participants on retirement plan matters and educate on regulatory notices and fee disclosures.
• Interface with vendors and coordinate data mappings and HRIS data accuracy.
• Analyze and interpret plan documents and applicable regulations; determine eligibility and enrollment.
• Transmit payroll contributions and reconcile retirement plan trust accounts monthly.
• Review compliance testing and Form 5500 filings; participate in audits.
