Job summary

The State of Alaska's Division of Retirement and Benefits in Juneau is seeking a Service-oriented Technician 2 to assist members with inquiries about retirement and health benefits. You will respond by phone and email, determine eligibility, and explain calculations and entitlements.

Based in the State Office Building, you will be the first point of contact for members and play a key role in supporting retirement benefits operations with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience related to retirement and benefits or similar programs.
• Experience applying guidelines and policies in a government setting.
• Ability to interpret statutes and regulations for retirement eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Answer member inquiries by telephone and email with accurate information.
• Explain retirement benefit calculations and entitlements to members.
