Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a BPAS Participant Services Representative to respond to retirement plan and benefit questions by phone or e‑mail in a courteous, knowledgeable manner, helping participants understand options and details.

You will learn industry content, use software, study for ASPPA exams, assist internal departments, and help the department and company achieve goals while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree preferred in Business, Accounting or related field.
• Customer service experience required, or a degree in lieu of experience.
• Experience with retirement or benefits plans is a plus (FSA, VEBA, HSA).
• Strong written and oral communication, highly organized, detail-oriented.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; 18+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Respond to retirement plan and benefit questions via phone or email.
• Learn and understand industry content and applicable laws/regulations.
• Become proficient with software applications used in the role.
• Study for and pass ASPPA Retirement Plan Fundamentals course, as applicable.
• Provide assistance to internal departments and help the company meet goals.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and training requirements.
