Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. seeks a Participant Services Representative to respond to retirement and benefit plan inquiries by phone or e-mail in a courteous, knowledgeable manner.

You will learn industry content, use specialized software, and support internal teams to help the company meet its goals. The ideal candidate has 2 years of related education or experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year degree in Business, Accounting or related field preferred.
• Customer Service experience required, or a degree in lieu of experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; strong written and oral communication; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Respond to retirement plan and benefit plan (FSA, VEBA, HSA) inquiries via phone or email.
• Learn and understand industry content; maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Become proficient with software applications utilized in the position.
• Study for and pass the ASPPA Retirement Plan Fundamentals Course, as applicable.
• Provide assistance to internal departments and support the organization in achieving goals.
• Maintain ongoing compliance with laws, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls.
