Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Our client, a third party retirement plan administrator, is hiring a fully remote, full-time, permanent Retirement Benefits Compliance Tester who will be responsible for plan administration, compliance and testing for identified blocks of business.

Direct experience conducting compliance testing calculations for complex retirement plans in a TPA environment is required for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interpret retirement plan provisions from plan documents, summaries of plan provisions, and related plan materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Perform compliance testing for Client plans including ADP/ACP, dual-eligibility, cross testing, combo testing, non-discrimination, top-heavy, excluded compensation, etc.
  • Support DOL, IRS, and Large plan audits
  • Support Plan Consultants in resolving operational and compliance issues related to qualified plans
  • Prepare annual valuation and compliance reports for Clients
  • Provide detailed consultations with Plan Consultant in drafting plan documents, plan amendments, and other legal documents
  • Support and complete assigned quality assurance reviews

Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on compliance testing experience in the third party retirement plan administration industry
  • Direct experience with complex aspects of retirement plan compliance testing including cross testing, new comparability method calculations, combo testing, and balance-forward/trust accounting strongly preferred
  • Experience with ASC, FT Williams, Datair and/or Relius plan administration software systems preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently, prioritize, manage tasks, and meet in connection with business operations, including related ERISA compliance matters
