Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be retired United States Army personnel with Junior ROTC Instructor Certificate.
• Must meet the minimum qualifications required by the Department of the Army and have earned a Cadet Command JROTC Instructor Certificate.
• Must possess effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with youth preferred; strong relationships with students are essential.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with proficiency in educational technology.

Responsibilities

• Instructs the JROTC curriculum for grades 9–12.
• Conducts training at JROTC and summer camps.
• Develops short and long-range lesson plans with clear objectives.
• Maintains JROTC student records per Army regulations and local policies.
• Coordinates with general education staff and counselors to maximize program effectiveness.
• Maintains a safe classroom environment and models nondiscriminatory practices.
