Responsibilities

• Supervise and assign work to a team of ultrasound staff, ophthalmic technicians, medical photography, and nursing
• Manage recruitment, interviewing, and selection of new staff members
• Provide training and conduct evaluations to ensure competency and performance standards are met
• Develop and manage weekly staff schedules, including real‑time adjustments and last‑minute coverage needs
• Oversee and support patient flow, providing direction to ophthalmic technicians and collaborating with ophthalmologists to improve efficiency
• Obtain patient medical histories, document chief complaints, and perform vision testing
• Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse
• Perform diagnostic imaging and perimetry testing
• Assist ophthalmologists with procedures, including administering injections
