Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5 years ophthalmic technical experience in a clinical setting.
• 2 years lead/supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of medical procedures terminology and protocols.
• Knowledge in administering diagnostic tests.
• Knowledge of specialized equipment and instruments.
• Demonstrates strong understanding of information or data to identify and elevate opportunities.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability and skills in computer, Microsoft Office and applicable software.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily clinical operations and ensures efficient clinic flow. Serves as central point of contact for coordinating patient care/patient flow within assigned area of responsibility.
• Establishes department performance standards and directly supervises all assigned subordinate staff; assists in recruiting, hiring, and training staff.
• Coordinates patient care/patient flow within service and coordinates patient scheduling; acts as liaison between medical staff and patients.
• Supervises facility billing for technical component and oversees department equipment and supplies to ensure functional clinic operations.
• Performs weekly audits of EMR documentation and provides education and training as appropriate; enforces clinical policies.
