Job summary

UCLA Outpatient Clinics in Westwood is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician Lead to join a high-volume Retina and Retinal Disorders & Ophthalmic Genetics clinic. You will coordinate patient care and clinic flow, oversee daily back-office operations, and provide technical support to ophthalmologists and optometrists.

The role includes maintaining the perimetry and OCT/topography labs, training staff, leading process improvements, and supporting special projects as assigned by the Practice Manager.

Qualifications

• Frontline ophthalmic technician experience in a high-volume clinic.
• Knowledge of OCT and perimetry equipment preferred.
• Strong teamwork and patient-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and clinic flow.
• Oversee daily back-office operations and exam room readiness.
• Provide technical support for Ophthalmologists and Optometrists.
• Maintain the perimetry and OCT/topography labs.
