Job summary

EyeHealth Northwest seeks a Retina Technician to support ophthalmologists with imaging, testing, and patient prep in a clinical setting. You will document patient histories, perform visual acuity, IOP checks, and assist during procedures using ophthalmic imaging equipment.

The role requires strong communication, accuracy, and collaboration with physicians and staff, including evenings or weekend rotation as needed. High school diploma and 1 year retina tech experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Retina Technician preferred.
• Proficiency with ophthalmic terminology and imaging equipment.
• Solid computer skills and EMR experience, preferably NextGen.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepare patients for examinations and document histories.
• Measure visual acuity and intraocular pressure.
• Utilize imaging techniques to document and help diagnose diseases.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and equipment.
• Assist physicians during procedures and manage imaging workflows.
