Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Retention Specialist to join our PLB team. The position is hourly full-time with 75% travel, offering access to benefits and growth opportunities within a mission-driven setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma and experience in social services; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. A valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid are desirable. Join us to support participants and help empower lives through meaningful work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and experience working in social services required.
• Bachelor's Degree and experience in social services with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Driver's license and current insurance required.
• First Aid and CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists participants with meeting employer expectations with work performance.
• Provide training to improve participant's work performance after employer's training period has ended.
• Problem solves to create accommodations or other ways to address performance issues.
• Support participants to develop and maintain natural support and positive relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
• Completes and submits agency documentation in a timely manner such as weekly progress notes and hourly billing.
• Maintains participant file in accordance with agency requirements.
• Utilizes time at participant's work site to complete necessary documentation, ensuring 80% of hours are billable.
• Maintains knowledge of community resources to support participant needs (transportation, medical, childcare, utilities, etc.).
• Makes referrals, advocates, and follows up.
• Maintains confidentiality according to agency guidelines, follows ethical guidelines.
• Completes training hours annually based on funded requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
