Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retention Specialist to join the PLB team. The role involves supporting participants to meet employer expectations, providing targeted work performance training, and advocating for accommodations as needed.

The position requires a High School Diploma with social services experience; a Bachelor's in social services is preferred. Driver's license, insurance, and First Aid/CPR are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and experience working in social services required.
• Bachelor's Degree and experience working in the field of social services with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Driver's license and current insurance required.
• First Aid and CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists participants with meeting employer expectations with work performance.
• Provide training to improve participant's work performance after employer's training period has ended.
• Problem solves to create accommodations or other ways to address performance issues.
• Support participants to develop and maintain natural support and positive relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
• Completes and submits agency documentation in a timely manner such as weekly progress notes and hourly billing.
• Maintains participant file in accordance with agency requirements.
• Utilizes time at participant's work site to complete necessary documentation, aiming for at least 80% of billable hours.
• Maintains knowledge of community resources that can support participant needs (transportation, medical, childcare, utilities).
• Makes referrals, advocates, and follows up.
• Maintains confidentiality according to agency guidelines, follows ethical guidelines.
• Completes training hours annually based on funded requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
