Job summary

Atlanta Mission is seeking a Retention Coach to support employment retention for clients through coaching, goal setting, and resource referrals. The role involves maintaining regular client contact, facilitating vocational classes, and coordinating with housing and Next Steps teams.

The position requires strong communication, project management skills, and the ability to work flexible hours to meet clients where they are. This is a full-time, on-site role within a faith-centered organization.

Qualifications

  • Experience coaching economically disadvantaged adults or similar populations.
  • Ability to refer clients to financial, counseling, food bank, housing resources.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage a heavy workload.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and flexible hours.
  • Excellent communication and group presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships with employed clients; conduct bi-monthly one-on-one meetings.
  • Encourage and motivate clients to reach personal and professional goals.
  • Build trust with clients to help them achieve goals.
  • Document client sessions and progress in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with Next Steps team and housing managers on client progress.
