Job summary

Numerator is seeking a Manager of Retailer Data & Benchmark Research in Chicago to lead the development, validation, and ongoing optimization of retailer-level benchmarks and external calibration signals powering our panel data products. This role sits at the intersection of data science, analytics, and product, ensuring our signals reflect real-world retail dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Benchmark Development: Own the design, evolution, and performance of retailer-level benchmarks used in calibration.
• Data Quality & Validation: Define and monitor key data quality and benchmark performance metrics, including drift.
• Research & Insights: Conduct deep-dive analyses of retailer and category trends to inform product and calibration improvements.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, and Client teams to align priorities.
• Process, Tooling & Innovation: Build scalable processes, dashboards, and reporting to improve visibility into data quality and benchmark performance.
