Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien in the United States is seeking team members who value hospitality and community to enhance the guest experience. You will provide friendly service, anticipate guest needs, and help with pastry displays and dining room operations.

1–3 months of restaurant experience helps; familiarity with POS systems, especially Toast, is a plus. Flexible scheduling and cross-training in dining room and retail space are welcome, with benefits including health coverage, PTO, and 401(k) matching.

• Ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the dining room and retail space.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the visit.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences provided by the guest.
• Prepare all drinks for retail and dining room, including batches for the retail counter.
• Properly bag, box, and arrange to-go food and pastry.
• Perform sales transactions in accordance with Le Pain Quotidien cash handling policy.
• Maintain pastry display and knowledge of pastry, bread, beverages, and retail items.
• Handle guest situations with empathy and elevate to a manager as necessary.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures; daily checklist and side work assignments.
• Keep restaurant areas clean and organized by following cleaning checklists.
• Answer the phone with proper etiquette and take orders over the phone.
