Job summary

L.L.Bean is seeking a Manager of Retail Workforce Planning & Analytics to join the Retail Home Office team in Freeport, Maine. This role leads labor strategy, analytics, scheduling standards, and budgeting across Retail and Outlet Stores.

Based in Freeport with on-site attendance, you will own labor models, productivity insights, and capacity planning while partnering with Finance and Store Operations to optimize customer service and financial targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a retail-based role with 3+ years in workforce management, labor planning, or analytics.
• Experience supporting multi-unit store operations and scheduling practices.
• Proficiency with workforce management tools and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Owns the store labor model, including hours, staffing mix, store tiering, and seasonal strategies.
• Develops labor standards and resourcing assumptions by store format, volume, season, workload, and operating model.
• Owns workforce performance metrics and analyzes trends to support leadership decisions.
• Defines scheduling standards, coverage models, and peak staffing guidelines aligned to demand.
• Leads annual and in-year labor budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting with Finance for stores and Retail Home Office.
• Partners with Finance to monitor labor spend and support P&L alignment; creates and maintains G&A budgeting.
• Acts as primary workforce planning partner to Finance, Store Ops, and Field Leadership; ensures cross-functional alignment.
