Job summary

IKEA USA in Schaumburg is seeking a part-time hourly associate to support order fulfillment across channels, ensuring product availability and replenishing the sales floor.

You will receive inbound goods, move products to storage or on the floor, operate scanners, and certify powered equipment while upholding IKEA culture.

Qualifications

• Experience handling customer orders and replenishment.
• Familiar with inventory receiving and accuracy checks.
• Certified to operate powered equipment (forklifts/pallet jacks).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to fulfilling customer orders across channels with accurate stock and replenishment.
• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at receiving.
• Move product to final selling location, in storage or on the floor.
• Perform sales space replenishment per visual merchandising guidance.
• Select goods for customers within the agreed time frame.
• Certify powered equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Handle goods: unloading, transporting, replenishing, stocking in/out, picking, loading.
• Operate scanner equipment and inventory management tools.
• Support IKEA culture and diversity within the team.

What you'll be doing day to day

• Contributing to the fulfillment of customer orders in different sales channels in the retail store by ensuring an efficiently executed product availability and replenishment process.
• Receiving inbound goods and ensures inventory accuracy at point of receiving.
• Moving product to final selling location (in storage or on the floor in all areas).
• Performing sales space replenishment with flexibility and according to visual merchandising guidance.
• Selecting goods for customers, within the agreed time frame, to secure an excellent customer experience.
• Certifying all powered mobile equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Handling goods (unloading, transporting, replenishing, stocking in, stocking out, picking, loading)-
• Operating scanner equipment and inventory management tools including IT systems.
• Contributing to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.

JOB TYPE – Permanent, Part-time, Hourly Associate, 18+HOURS – From 12 to 19 hours per week (HL1) // Limited Benefits SHIFTS– Seeking work schedule availability of Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday as a minimum requirement. Work schedules are published one month in advance.
