Job summary

IKEA USA in Norfolk, VA, is hiring for a permanent part-time role (12-19 hrs/week) in a store warehouse environment. The position requires the ability to work nights and weekends, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating power equipment with forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Contribute to order fulfillment across sales channels in the store, ensuring product availability.
• Receive inbound goods and verify inventory accuracy at receiving.
• Move products to storage or selling areas and perform replenishment.
• Prepare customer orders and maintain fast, accurate pick operations.
• Operate scanners and inventory IT systems; certify powered equipment as needed.

What you'll be doing day to day

• "Contributing to the fulfillment of customer orders in different sales channels in the retail store by ensuring an efficiently executed product availability and replenishment process.


• Receiving inbound goods and ensures inventory accuracy at point of receiving.


• Moving product to final selling location (in storage or on the floor in all areas).


• Performing sales space replenishment with flexibility and according to visual merchandising guidance.


• Pick and preparing customer orders within the agreed timeframe to secure an excellent customer experience.


• Handling goods (unloading, transporting, replenishing, stocking in, stocking out, picking, loading).


• Operating scanner equipment and inventory management tools including IT systems


• Certifying all powered mobile equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
